DNN CE 08.00.01 version

Mar 17, 2016 at 7:11 AM
I executed the script on DNN CE 08.00.01 version flawless

Many thanks again

N.B. do not forget to use the TurboUnSchema, in case you are upgrading from a previous version!

Then apply the TurboDNN then the TurboSchema after the DNN or script upgrade

Thanks for the feedback.
I just finished updates for DNN Platform 8.0.1 and just need to test.
New version should be ready tomorrow (2016-03-19).
Please apply, when released, there are a few minor changes (and improvements)

Hi Leupold,

We tested Truncate EventLog for DNN 5.0.0 - 7.4.1 on DNN 8 but it fails.
Will there be a DNN 8 version for Truncate EventLog for DNN 5.0.0 - 7.4.1 ?

Or does DNN8 include a fix for truncating the eventlog/exceptions tables?

it seems like DNN8 cleans up exceptions better
(we do have DNN eventlog/exception en scheduleitemhistory tables flooding with entries when running DNN on multiple instances on Azure?)

tx in advance,

Rudgr

PS: do you know what caused exceptions below? We're experiencing similar exceptions here as well..

Hi Rudgr,
There are no changes in DNN 8 regarding Eventlog structure or cleanup, as far as I am aware.
if the script fails on Azure, do you have permission to drop foreign key constraints and re-add it?
if you are running the script from inside DNN > Host > SQL, does the DNN database user have dbowner permission?
Are you using a dedicated connection string for install?

sorry for the late reply (was out of office) and the false alarm (tested on DNN 8.0.0 and works fine)

tx!

thanks for your feedback!
Btw, I would suggest upgrading DNN 8.0.0 to DNN 8.0.1 for a number of fixes and security issues solved.
